Obituary for Juana Concepcion Berenguer (Cancino)

Juana Concepcion Berenguer (Cancino)
Juana Concepcion Berenguer (“Concha”),age 100, daughter of Manuel Cancino and Juana Martinez, who was born, June 12, 1917 in Baracao, Cuba passed away Monday November 27, 2017 at her home in the care of her family in Jacksonville, Florida.

True to Proverbs 31:10-31, Concha was a “virtuous woman, whose price was far above rubies” Her husband of nearly 84 years, Agustin, “safely trusted in her and Concha did him good all the days of her life. She rose up early and gave meat to her household. She girded her loins with strength, and strengthened her arms. She laid her hands to the spindle and stretched out those same hands to the poor. All of her household was fully clothed and she made for herself coverings of tapestry and clothes of silk and purple. Strength and honor were her clothing. She opened her mouth with wisdom and in her tongue was the law of kindness. She looked well to all the way of her household and did not eat the bread of idleness. Her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren rose up and called her blessed. Today, we give her of the fruit of her hands and let her own life works praise her in the gates”.

Concha loved Her Lord, His Word, and Worship music. She also loved to listen to music from her native land, Los Trio Matamoros and Los Compadres.

Concha was preceded in death by her husband, Agustin, and all three of her children, Argemis, Juaniquito, and Elma.

Concha claimed, and prayed daily over, her 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren and 1 recent great-great-great grandchild.

The family is so grateful for the outpouring of love and support from friends, family, and Vitas Hospice who attended to her and her husband the last week of their lives.

A graveside gathering and celebration will be held Friday, December 22nd, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211 (904) 724-6384. All arrangements are lovingly under their direction and care.
