Glenn Franklin Wheeler, 64, born November 12, 1952 in Jacksonville, Florida to John Franklin Wheeler and Betty Smith Wheeler, passed away June 10, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Glenn was a mental health therapist specializing in addiction at Stepping Stone Center for Recovery in Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from Terry Parker High School and attended Florida State University where he received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Religion. He went on to study psychology, religion, and philosophy at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He later received his Master's of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Franklin Wheeler and his partner, Woodrow "Woody" Sims.
Glenn is survived by his mother, Betty Wheeler, his sister, Sara Wheeler Box, nephew, Ethan Box, and niece, Rebecca Box.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2 PM, Friday, June 16, 2017 in the Chapel of the Funeral Home with Rev. Al Hicks officiating.
The Wheeler family wishes for all friends and family to join in a celebration of Glenn's life and guests will be given the opportunity to share during the service if they would like.
