Christopher Blackshear "Blackie"  Chaffe
Christopher “Blackie” Chaffe, age 93, son of Fredrick and Olive Ezelle Chaffe, who was born, December 22, 1923 in Jacksonville, Florida passed away February 25, 2017 surround by family, at his residence he built in 1963 Jacksonville, Florida.

Mr. Chaffe was a devoted man of Christ, loving and hardworking husband, devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a Signalman in the Coast Guard during WWII, retired Captain from the Jacksonville Fire Department, Mason, and Shriner.

Blackie’s love for his Lord and savior Jesus Christ radiated in everything he did. He shared the gospel everywhere he went and has brought many people to Christ in his 93 years. He was loved by his family and friends and will be truly missed.

“Blackie” was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years Joyce Chaffe, son Christopher W. Chaffe, brothers, sisters, and parents.

He is survived by his daughters Cherie J. Katin and Christy Chaffe, grandchildren Amanda Rhodes, Ashley Syla, Michael Chaffe, and Raya Ghajar, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests for a Visitation 5 to 7PM, Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211

A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 11 am, Friday, March 3, 2017 at Arlington Christian Church 8075 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211 with Pastor Glenn Turner officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211 (904) 724-6384.
