Obituary for Donald Lee Carter

Donald Lee Carter
Donald Lee Carter (Donnie), 66 years of age, was born on July 5, 1950 in Dade City, Florida. He passed away February 25, 2017 at 01:15am in his home of Jacksonville, Florida.

Donnie treated his friends and family alike and loved like he was your sibling. He’d give you the shirt off his back if you asked for it. He was as social as they come; he loved to chat with anyone that would listen. Donnie had a love of the arts and had a skill for oil painting. He was a master of all trades including carpentry, fishing, and cooking; Donnie was a self-taught barbeque champion (3rd place Stewart FL Fair Championship). Donnie had a knack for gardening and could grow just about anything. If Donnie set his mind to it, he’d do it or attempt to do it. Most of all, Donnie was a fighter.

Donnie is survived by his wife Felicia; children Matthew, Christopher, Brittany, and Neil; grandchildren Adam and Madalyn; mother Evelyn; step-mother Bobbie; brothers Norman, Ed, Terry, Dennis, and Gary; and sisters Sheila, Angie, and Tracy.

Donnie has rejoined his family in heaven: father Hugh; stepfather Richard; brother Lee; nephews Jacob and Stephen; and grandson Oliver.

A celebration of Donnie’s life will take place on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11:00 am in Arlington Park Cemetery with Pastor John Harmeling officiating. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville Florida 32211 (904)724-6384
